Ahead of the Investigatory Powers (Amendment) Bill's Second Reading in the House of Commons on the 7th March 2024, RSI advised MPs that the government appears to be copying legal language from the US that has given intelligence agencies and police there the power to conduct massive, unaccountable or otherwise abusive surveillance.
